Unfortunately illness swept the group, so within a few weeks of the day, the group had dropped from six to two. This changed on the day to one, so Mike and I set off on the Elidir Trail to see what we could photograph.
Two things we noticed, the water levels were quite high and there were loads of other photographers around. This year the trail was really popular, perhaps it was the improvement in the weather from the previous few days or perhaps the location was proving popular due to the hope of some autumn colour.
Unfortunately even though the date of this years course was only a few weeks earlier than last years, there was very little sign of autumn colour in the tree leaves. Probably in about a weeks time the colours will have started to turn now we have some colder weather.
The weather had been favourable for fungi and there were lots all along the valley with some really large examples of various types. All seemed to be in quite good condition compared to those I had found on Gower. I managed a few images with?which I was pleased, so I may consider a return visit just for the fungi. At least they seemed less popular than the waterfalls, so there was no need to wait for other photographers to get out of the way.
