Gigrin Farm Day Course

This course will take place at Gigrin farm run by the Powell family near Rhayader. The farm has views over the Wye and Elan valleys. Gigrin became the official Red Kite Feeding Station in the winter of 1992/1993 following a request from the RSPB. Gigrin Farm has now become well known and is still the main red kite feeding station in the UK. We will have exclusive use of the Tower Hide, and will have additional time to explore the farm and trails around it before and after the feeding.
Difficulty level
- Easy - the car park is a short walk from the feeding site and hides. A path is present and is well maintained. The Tower hide has some steps to get up to the upper floor.

- Photographic instruction and guidance - how to set up your camera for birds in flight
- Entrance fee to the farm and fee for use of the Tower photographic hide.
What's excluded
- Personal insurance - please ensure that you are covered for travel, medical and personal accident risk
- Camera insurance - it is all ways wise to have your equipment fully insured
- Additional personal expenditure e.g. lunch, drinks, additional food or other purchases
Number of Participants
The course is limited to a maximum of Four participants. This ensures maximum benefits for all participants taking part.
