National Botanical Garden of Wales Day Courses 2011

These courses will focus on the various landscapes of the National Botanical Garden of Wales. Each landscape has its own character with varied views from wooded valley sides to formal gardens. The days are designed for photographers of all abilities whether they own the latest DSLR or just a mobile phone. Regular participants will build up a picture of the gardens over the seasons.
Flora and Fauna
Birds - Red Kite, Blackbird, Robin, Mallard, Grey Heron, Tufted Duck
Mammals - grey squirrel, Otter, fox,
Plants - too many to list, but from all over the world as well as native
Difficulty level
- Easy- this trip is suitable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. It involves walks over predominately flat ground with a few moderate to gentle ascents/descents to the main area for photography. All major paths are paved or covered in fine/medium gravel. Some of the other paths can be in places muddy, covered in stones or bare earth.

- Personal insurance - please ensure that you are covered for travel, medical and personal accident risk
- Camera insurance - it is all ways wise to have your equipment fully insured
- Additional personal expenditure e.g. lunch, drinks, additional food or other purchases
Number of Participants
The course is limited to a maximum of 10 participants. This ensures maximum benefits for all participants taking part.
Cost of workshop
- £35.00 per person (non-members of friends of the gardens)/£30.00 (members of friends of the garden)

- We will meet in the Wallace room in the Wallace Garden, next to the Conference Centre at 10.30am. The courses finish at 4.00pm
