Overseas Courses
At the moment there are no overseas courses organised, but this is something I am looking into and planning at the moment. I am looking into courses in these areas:
Namibia
I have visited Namibia quite a few times and have developed an extensive photographic knowledge of the country. It has a great selection of dramatic scenery and wildlife.
The workshop would be for two weeks and to try and minimise the cost would be based on using tented accommodation and a four wheel drive vehicle. Number of participants would be in the range of 10 - 12. Flights would be separate to the workshop cost and need to be purchased separately. Holiday insurance would also be need to be purchased by each participant.
Cyprus
This is a new location for me, but when I visited in April 2009 I was impressed with the selection of wild flowers and the volume of migratory birds such as the Swift, Swallow and Martins. It has a great selection of dramatic scenery, from the coast to the Troodos Mountains. There are also lots of ancient Roman monuments and ruins scattered all over the Islands.
The workshop would be for one week with accommodation and transport included. The number of participants would be in the range of 6 - 8. Flights would be separate to the workshop cost and need to be purchased separately. Holiday insurance would also be need to be purchased by each participant.
France
This would be to the Massif Central area of France, and would be based at the B&B of Graham and Theresa Thompson.

Graham and his wife Theresa were wardens on the Pembrokeshire island of
Skokholm for many years, before moving to this idyllic part of France.
Graham is a great all-round naturalist and will be showing us not only birds,
but mammals, wild flowers, butterflies and more. Early spring is a fabulous
time for birds and wildlife here in the Auvergne, and one of the many
specialities, a pair of breeding eagle owls, should be highly visible in May.
