Macro photography is one of the most interesting areas of photography and doesn't rely on location or weather, so it can be done at any time, indoors and out. The course will cover the practical aspects of macro photography in the outdoor environment, covering the use of flash, extension tubes, close up lenses as well as discussing the merit of different macro lenses.
Ilston Valley is a wonderful mixture of Deciduous and Coniferous woodland with a small stream running through it. It has one or two open spaces where wild flowers grow, and in spring it has abundant areas of flowering wild garlic. Birds visible are Buzzard, Kingfisher, Blue tit, Great tit, Coal tit, Long-tailed tit, Robin, Blackbird, Thrushes, Black cap and occasionally Dipper.
