The image above was taken on a dull grey day at Caswell so lends itself to black and white photography. I&#8217;m not a great fan of the very blurred water look which comes with slower shutter speeds, so I compromised here by increasing the ISO and widening the aperture. When the water is too blurred, detail is lost and eventually you loose a sense of what is actually being photographed.<\/p>\n<p>Another reason for my lack of photographs recently is my foray into video. With the technology of video and photography combining in the latest camera releases, I thought it was time to start incorporating this into my work. Like all new things there is a steep learning curve to climb and new areas to develop. I can now officially declare myself as the worlds worst sound recordist, but I hope to develop over time with practice and training. As a result of my new direction the credit card has taken a bit of a battering, but now I have a stack of new toys to keep me entertained.
