As has been typical of this summer so far, I hadn&#8217;t a clue what the weather would be when I got there. What sun that had been around, had gone away, and wasn&#8217;t coming back out. So back to the dull grey conditions we have had so much of this year.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4635\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gowerphotography.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Caswell-Bay20160709_DCS2267-600x400.jpg\" alt=\"Caswell Bay20160709_DCS2267\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gowerphotography.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Caswell-Bay20160709_DCS2267-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.gowerphotography.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Caswell-Bay20160709_DCS2267-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.gowerphotography.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Caswell-Bay20160709_DCS2267.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The rock formations lend themselves well to a black and white conversion and the overcast conditions allowed a capture of the full range of tones. This allowed me to change the contrast of the image back in post production. The wispy, white lines on the rocks in the image above look more like reflections off water than actual seams in the rock. I don&#8217;t remember seeing them as clearly as at this visit, but it could be my memory playing tricks on me.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4634\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gowerphotography.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Caswell-Bay20160709_DCS2285-400x600.jpg\" alt=\"Caswell Bay20160709_DCS2285\" width=\"400\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gowerphotography.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Caswell-Bay20160709_DCS2285-400x600.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.gowerphotography.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Caswell-Bay20160709_DCS2285-100x150.jpg 100w, https:\/\/www.gowerphotography.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Caswell-Bay20160709_DCS2285.jpg 667w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I think I will call the image above &#8220;camouflage&#8221;, even though Limpets don&#8217;t go out of their way to get Barnacles on them.
